Baseball Recap: Midland Park's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After flying high against New Milford on Tuesday, Midland Park came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the North Bergen Bruins by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The loss was the Panthers' first of the season.

Midland Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Fleming, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Fleming is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Midland Park fell to 6-1. As for North Bergen, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Coming up, Midland Park will take on Hanover Park at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Bergen, they will venture away from home to face off against Hoboken at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Redwings will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight.
