Softball Recap: Pensacola Catholic Takes a Loss

Pensacola Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to the Destin Sharks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in February.

Morgan Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Pensacola Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Destin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Pensacola Catholic will head out on the road to challenge Pine Forest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.1 runs per game this season. As for Destin, they will face off against Booker T. Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
