Basketball Recap: Sycamore Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Sycamore War Eagles came up short against the Jackson North Side Indians and fell 66-59. While losing is never fun, the War Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Indians are ranked 42nd).

Sycamore has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season. The win was the ninth in a row for Jackson North Side, bringing their record for this year to 25-3.

Sycamore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jackson North Side, they and Jackson South Side will meet in a classic North v. South matchup on Tuesday. One thing working in Jackson North Side's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.
