Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Higley

The Chaparral Firebirds will be taking part in a tournament against the Higley Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Higley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Chaparral, who comes in off a win.

Chaparral's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Corona del Sol.

Chaparral hit the Aztecs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kate Voyer, Addy Coon, and Dakota Cotten.

Higley kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Campo Verde, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for Higley in their meetings with Campo Verde: they've now lost eight in a row.
