The Kathleen Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past George Jenkins 74-53. That looming 74-53 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Kathleen yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kathleen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremy Nixon, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Nixon is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiziah Battle, who scored 21 points.
Kathleen's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for George Jenkins, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Kathleen will head out on the road to take on Ridge Community at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. George Jenkins won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Seffner Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Seffner Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than George Jenkins in Florida (Seffner Christian is ranked 243rd, while George Jenkins is ranked 559th).
