Basketball Recap: Vernon Comes Up Short

Vernon was the 63-55 winner over Jacksboro when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vernon Lions took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jacksboro Tigers on Tuesday. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Jacksboro, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Vernon will head out to square off against City View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jacksboro, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Jacksboro Tigers take on the Henrietta Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
