Quinter had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over the Decatur Community Red Devils. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Red Devils are ranked 136th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Decatur Community lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Michaela Wasson, who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elsie Larson, who had 11 points and five boards.

Quinter pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Decatur Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Quinter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Decatur Community, they have already played their next contest, a 76-27 victory against Lakeside on the 24th.
