Sunnyside has played every game this season on their home field, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will head out to square off against the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts at 7:00 p.m.

Sunnyside is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 34 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Cactus Shadows on Friday. They were dealt a 49-10 defeat at the hands of the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Mica Mountain put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Sabino onto the board and left with a 35-0 win. The Thunderbolts pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Sabercats had little chance of recovering from.

Mica Mountain can attribute much of their success to Josiah Thornwell, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Thornwell a new career-high in rushing yards.

Sunnyside now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mica Mountain, their record now sits at 3-0.

Sunnyside was dealt a bruising 35-7 loss at the hands of Mica Mountain in their previous meeting back in September of 2023.
