Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Marana Tigers

The Mountain View Mountain Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Marana Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mountain View is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They fell 5-2 to Canyon del Oro.

Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cy Klinger, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. Those runs marked the first that Klinger has scored this season.

Tucson High Magnet School hit Marana with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 12-1 to the Badgers. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Badgers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Jude Luckow was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Marana's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
