Soccer Recap: New Hope Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Corinth

There's no place like home for New Hope, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Corinth Warriors a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

New Hope's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Corinth, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-6-1 record.

Coincidentally, New Hope and Corinth will both be playing Pontotoc the next time they take the pitch. New Hope will host Pontotoc at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Corinth will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
