Lodi had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the East Union Lancers. This was payback for the Flames, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Allison Frank, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Bailey Nelson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Lodi's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for East Union, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lodi will head out to face off against Manteca at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Manteca is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for East Union, they are taking a road trip to take on Liberty at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
