Football Recap: Valdosta Piles Up the Points Against Mundy's Mill + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Valdosta challenged Mundy's Mill on Friday. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 60-14. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 53-0.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Deron Foster and Marquis Fennell. Foster rushed for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries while Fennell rushed for 109 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 58 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Hunt, who rushed for 77 yards and one score.

Valdosta didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Aj Hill, Miguel Henson, and Seth Brown Jr. picked up one apiece.

Valdosta pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valdosta will host Dougherty at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mundy's Mill, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carver at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
