Basketball Recap: Orangefield Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Orangefield saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Hargrave Falcons by a score of 46-34. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Falcons are ranked 1067th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Orangefield's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Hargrave, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Orangefield will be home for the holidays to greet Warren at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hargrave, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-36 win against Vidor on the 13th.
