Basketball Recap: Underwood Takes a Loss

Underwood has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clarinda Cardinals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 219th).

Underwood's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Clarinda, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-12.

As of now, neither Underwood nor Clarinda have any future games scheduled.
