Basketball Game Preview: King Jaguars vs. Francis W. Parker Colonels

The King Jaguars will take on the Francis W. Parker Colonels at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Francis W. Parker took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on King, who comes in off a win.

King took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Dyett by a score of 54-47.

Meanwhile, Francis W. Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 63-13 defeat at the hands of Latin. While losing is never fun, the Colonels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 618th, while the Romans are ranked 248th).

Francis W. Parker's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for King, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

King couldn't quite finish off Francis W. Parker in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 52-50. Thankfully for King, Anna Swanson (who posted 29 points and eight rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
