Softball Recap: Old Plank Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Old Plank Christian Academy's offense. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors on Thursday, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Defenders of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Laiton Pechin was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Old Plank Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Old Plank Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Parsons Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Peniel Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Peniel Baptist Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Trinity Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
