Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings vs. St. Peter's Eagles

St. Joseph-by-the-Sea hasn't had much luck against St. Peter recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings will challenge the St. Peter's Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

St. Joseph-by-the-Sea took a loss when they played away from home last Sunday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Sunday. They rang in the new year with a 59-49 win over Fordham Prep.

Meanwhile, St. Peter's unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Sunday. They fell 68-56 to Nazareth.

St. Peter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

St. Joseph-by-the-Sea came up short against St. Peter's when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 61-53. Can St. Joseph-by-the-Sea avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
