Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Redhawks vs. Central Eagles + How To Watch

Monroe is a perfect 8-0 against Central since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Redhawks will face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Monroe came up short against West Mecklenburg and fell 53-40.

Ashad Staton put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 8-for-15 en route to 19 points and seven boards. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

Meanwhile, Central was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Parkwood 72-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Monroe now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Monroe skirted past Central 56-54 in their previous meeting on Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redhawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
