Football Recap: Squalicum Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Squalicum lost against Lynden back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Storm took a 27-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Lions are ranked 14th).

Ray Hoffmann threw for 129 yards on ten of 18 attempts. Ansen Asbjornsen was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards. On the ground, Martin Gavino rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown.

Squalicum's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lynden, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Squalicum will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Port Angeles at 5:00 p.m. As for Lynden, they are taking a road trip to square off against Archbishop Murphy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 7.5 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them.
