Baseball Recap: Limon Comes Up Short

Limon was the 12-5 winner over Akron when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Badgers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-4 to the Rams, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Logan Haflich was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Limon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Akron, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Limon will challenge Merino at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Akron, they will take on Highland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
