Baseball Game Preview: Grand Junction Tigers vs. Palisade Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Grand Junction will face off against Palisade. The Tigers will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Grand Junction will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Grand Junction was able to grind out a solid victory over Palisade, taking the game 10-5.

Kaleb David was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zyler Fazzi, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Grand Junction always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palisade only posted an OBP of .400.

With the loss, Palisade broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8. As for Grand Junction, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grand Junction hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401.
