Softball Game Preview: Hobbton Wildcats vs. Spring Creek Gators

The Hobbton Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Spring Creek Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hobbton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Spring Creek will come in with four straight wins.

Hobbton lost 26-6 to Heide Trask on Friday.

Madison Sinclair made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Miley McLamb was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Spring Creek won against Union on Tuesday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Spring Creek put the hurt on Union with a sharp 17-0 victory. That looming 17-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Gators yet this season.

Spring Creek pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hobbton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
