Recap: Wakefield School Fighting Owls vs. Tandem Friends Badgers
The Wakefield School Fighting Owls put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 59-7 victory over Tandem Friends at home. Wakefield School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wakefield School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aya Mason, who scored 18 points along with five steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Mason scored 15 or more points. Ceci Turner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals.
Wakefield School's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Tandem Friends, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Coincidentally, Wakefield School and Tandem Friends will both be playing Quantico the next time they take the court. Wakefield School will host Quantico at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Tandem Friends will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
