2A Olympic recap October 29, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to North Kitsap, who took down 99th ranked Kingston, 37-30.

Fans got a thrill when Konner Langholff and Kaler Rodgers connected against North Mason. The longest such play in 2A Olympic this season, the connection resulted in 70 yards.

Klahowya's dynamic duo of Langholff and Rodgers proved to be unstoppable against the Bulldogs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Langholff threw for 145 yards and 1 touchdown and Rodgers had 91 yards receiving. Casey Sargent helped Klahowya's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 58 yards.

5-foot-9 quarterback Miguel Moroles of Sequim is the league leader in passing yards this season with 928. He has also thrown 3 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Daniel Burggraaf. The North Mason star has 18 catches for 504 yards.

One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Wolves and North Mason face off next week.

Next week's game between Sequim and Jeff Bevers' team will feature a good passing match up as Moroles will test his arm against Burggraaf's defensive ability.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Olympic takes on the Vikings. The Trojans are in fourth place, while North Kitsap is in third place.

Port Angeles led 2A Olympic in scoring this week by notching 37 points on Erik Wiker's team.
