Basketball Recap: Cliffside Park Falls Despite Big Games from Thomas Calabrese and Jamil Gonzalez

Cliffside Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 65-56 to the Indian Hills Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 53-36 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2018.

Jamil Gonzalez and Thomas Calabrese certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Gonzalez posted 16 points and five rebounds, while Calabrese scored 17 points along with six boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Muhammad El Hindi, who had nine points.

Cliffside Park's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Indian Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Cliffside Park has already played their next matchup (against Ridgefield Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Indian Hills is taking a road trip to take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
