Volleyball Game Preview: Awaken Christian Lions vs. American Heritage Academy Patriots

The Awaken Christian Lions will venture away from home to take on the American Heritage Academy Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Awaken Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Awaken Christian came up short against Lake Mead Christian Academy and fell 2-0.

Awaken Christian was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for American Heritage Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They won by a set and slipped past Liberty Baptist Academy 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since October 9, 2024.

Awaken Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for American Heritage Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-12.

Awaken Christian couldn't quite get it done against American Heritage Academy in their previous matchup back in August of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
