DC International falls despite big games from Hoyt King and Jordan Mason

Recap: DC International Dragons vs. Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers
On Saturday, the DC International Dragons faced the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. DC International fell 53-45 to the Mighty Hoppers.
DC International's loss came despite strong showings from Jordan Mason and Hoyt King. Mason dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while King scored six points along with two steals. Mason also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhalil Route, who scored eight points.
DC International's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Georgetown Day, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
DC International will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in District of Columbia (Banneker is ranked 15th, while the Dragons are ranked 24th). As for Georgetown Day, they will head out on the road to take on the Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
