Basketball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They came up short against the Sandusky Streaky Bear, falling 65-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 68-59 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Scott still got an impressive performance from Gucci Pope, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Sims, who earned seven points.

As for Sandusky, they pushed their record up to 1-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 25th (when they won 74-30).

Anthony Redding had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Redding is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. Dale Johnson was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.

Looking ahead, Scott will be home for the holidays to greet Waite at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandusky has already played their next matchup (against Norwalk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
