Basketball Recap: J.F. Webb Drops Highest Score of Season Against Durham School of the Arts

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask J.F. Webb). They blew past the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs 90-60 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted against the Bulldogs since January 25, 2022.

Leading J.F. Webb to victory were Daniel Wright and Joshua Barnette. Wright almost dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 14 assists, and nine steals, while Barnette dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Barnette has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydan Hester, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and four steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: J.F. Webb was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win (which was J.F. Webb's third in a row) raised their record to 10-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.0 points per game. As for Durham School of the Arts, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

J.F. Webb will square off against Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. J.F. Webb knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Louisburg likes a good challenge. As for Durham School of the Arts, they will take on South Granville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. South Granville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.1 points per game this season.
