Basketball Recap: North Henderson Knights vs. East Henderson Eagles
North Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the East Henderson Eagles and fell 62-25. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-23 back in January.
Leading East Henderson to victory were Mamie Hill and Kayden Henderson. Hill went 8 of 13 on her way to 23 points along with six boards and five assists, while Henderson dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. Henderson is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Leila Henderson also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first rebound of the season.
North Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for East Henderson, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13.
North Henderson will host Smoky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Henderson, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pisgah at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pisgah will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something East Henderson surely won't give up without a fight.
