Softball Recap: Conneaut Area Comes Up Short

Conneaut Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Corry Beavers, falling 20-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beavers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 back in April.

Abby Potts made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Conneaut Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Corry, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Coming up, Conneaut Area will head out on the road to square off against Erie at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Corry, they will welcome Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
