Softball Recap: Reedsburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mauston last Friday, Reedsburg came back down to earth. The Beavers fell 12-7 to the Mount Horeb Vikings on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Beavers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Kylee Molitor was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Molitor is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Ava Van Coulter also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Reedsburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mount Horeb, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Reedsburg will square off against Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Horeb, they will challenge Stoughton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
