Basketball Recap: Harris County Comes Up Short

Harris County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 58-47 to the Hardaway Hawks. The Tigers lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 84-43 score last time.

Hardaway got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brenden Houston-Baldwin out in front who posted 11 points along with five assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamaj Reese, who scored nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Harris County's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hardaway, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Harris County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-36 defeat against Smiths Station on the 14th. Hardaway will take on Columbus in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
