Basketball Recap: Berkeley Falls Despite Big Games from Jordan Livingston and Cam Palmer

Berkeley and Goose Creek squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Berkeley had to settle for second. They lost to the Goose Creek Gators on the road by a 60-46 margin. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, with their most recent defeat being a 52-37 loss back in February.

Berkeley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cam Palmer, who posted 15 points and five rebounds, and Jordan Livingston, who put up 12 points and six boards. Livingston continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Ja'Quell Brown was his usual excellent self, shooting 55% from the field en route to 20 points for Goose Creek. The contest was Brown's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Reggie Dozier III, who scored ten points.

Berkeley moved to 20-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Goose Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 25-3.

Berkeley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Goose Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 81-71 loss against Greenville on the 8th.
