Basketball Game Preview: Hoosic Valley Hawks vs. Saranac Lake Red Storm

The Hoosic Valley Hawks will take on the Saranac Lake Red Storm at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Hoosic Valley and eight for Saranac Lake.

Hoosic Valley might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 40-34 to Saratoga Central Catholic, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Saranac Lake took a blow against Plattsburgh on Thursday, falling 79-37.

Hoosic Valley will have to contain Emma Akey as she made an impact in Saranac Lake's last game. She posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Tomaszewski, who had seven points.

Hoosic Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Saranac Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
