Volleyball Recap: Littlerock Takes a Loss

Littlerock was the 3-1 winner over Palmdale when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Littlerock came up short against Palmdale on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lobos have suffered against the Falcons since March 16, 2022.

Littlerock was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.

Palmdale found their leader in sophomore Efrain Dela Cruz, who had 15 digs and nine aces. Those nine aces gave Dela Cruz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Guerra, who had eight digs and three aces.

Littlerock has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Palmdale and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Littlerock has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Knight on the 20th. As for Palmdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Eastside on the 20th.
