Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short

St. Joseph Academy suffered their biggest defeat since September 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets, falling 3-0. The Flashes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: St. Augustine scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-23.

Despite the defeat, St. Joseph Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addy Mira had 11 digs.

St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for St. Augustine, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph Academy will venture away from home to face off against Peniel Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Flashes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for St. Augustine, they will welcome Geneva at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
