Recap: Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans vs. Udall Eagles
The Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Udall by a score of 58-47. The victory was nothing new for Cedar Vale/Dexter as they're now sitting on four straight.
Cedar Vale/Dexter found their leader in underclassman Zoe Davidson, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davidson has scored all season. Edee Boatman was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Udall lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kayl Knapp, who scored 17 points along with three blocks and two steals. That's the first time this season that Knapp scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Alberts, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds.
Cedar Vale/Dexter pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Udall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Coincidentally, Cedar Vale/Dexter and Udall will both be playing Oxford the next time they take the court. Udall will head out to face Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Cedar Vale/Dexter will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
