Lynwood was handed a nine-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Firebaugh on Friday. Lynwood skirted past Firebaugh 5-3. The win was just what Lynwood needed coming off of a 9-0 defeat in their prior matchup.
Lynwood got a massive performance out of Zaire Hall, who scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabrizio Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, sadly, Dominguez is still looking for their first win of the season after seven games. Their rough 13-0 loss to Paramount on Friday might stick with them for a while.
Lynwood's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Dominguez, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Lynwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Dominguez when the teams last played on March 1st, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lynwood since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
