Volleyball Recap: Elmwood Park Comes Up Short

The Elmwood Park Tigers came up short against the Glenbard East Rams on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Elmwood Park was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22.

Landon Arreola paced Elmwood Park's offense, picking up eight kills. Arreola were helped by David Platkowski and Jermayne Ruiz, who contributed seven assists each.

Elmwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Glenbard East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Elmwood Park has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Elk Grove on the 12th. As for Glenbard East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Warren Township on the 9th.
