Baseball Game Preview: Southwest Eagles vs. West Broward Bobcats

For the second straight game, Southwest will face off against West Broward. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Southwest heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to West Broward. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

For West Broward's part, Braden Aguila tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 6.2 innings pitched. Aguila has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lenny Sufran was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

West Broward has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
