Recap: LaFayette Bulldogs vs. Reeltown Rebels
The LaFayette Bulldogs stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Reeltown 65-33 at home. The victory was familiar territory for LaFayette who now have five in a row.
Deaundra Vines was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with seven assists and five steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Vaderrian Story, who scored 18 points.
LaFayette pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Reeltown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
LaFayette will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lanett at 4:30 p.m. Lanett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while LaFayette is ranked 117th). Reeltown won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Horseshoe Bend at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Horseshoe Bend and Reeltown are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
