Recap: Andrew Jackson Volunteers vs. Buford Yellowjackets
The Andrew Jackson Volunteers entered their tilt with the Buford Yellowjackets with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Andrew Jackson really took it to Buford for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-6 win at home. The result was nothing new for Andrew Jackson, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Trey Thompson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Thompson hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Williams, who threw for 127 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes.
Andrew Jackson's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 49.33 points. As for Buford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Andrew Jackson will head out on the road to face off against Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
