A well-balanced attack led Wirt County over Calhoun in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wirt County Tigers blew the Calhoun Red Devils out of the water with a 66-30 final score. That looming 66-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Wirt County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Smith out in front who went 6-for-14 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Easton Wyer was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 10 points along with six boards and three steals.

Despite the loss, Calhoun saw an underclassman step up: freshman Baron Davis went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Morris, who posted seven points.

Wirt County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Calhoun, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
