Softball Recap: Montverde Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Highland on Monday, Montverde Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Eau Gallie Commodores by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 11-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2017.

Montverde Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Missy Odom, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Montverde Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Eau Gallie, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montverde Academy will take on Baker County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eau Gallie, they will face off against St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
