Baseball Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

Union County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Woodruff Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Monday.

Union County's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Woodruff, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

While Union County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
