Basketball Recap: Riverside Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Riverside hadn't done well against IKM/Manning recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Riverside Bulldogs walked away with a 54-47 victory over the IKM/Manning Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Wolves back in December of 2024, they had to take a 63-47 defeat.

Riverside's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for IKM/Manning, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for IKM/Manning, they are taking a road trip to square off against Logan-Magnolia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
