Basketball Game Preview: Weir Red Riders vs. Bellaire Big Reds

The Weir Red Riders will challenge the Bellaire Big Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Weir came up short against Steubenville on Thursday, falling 75-50. The Red Riders have struggled against the Big Red recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Bellaire didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Barnesville on Monday, but they still walked away with a 44-38 victory. Given the Big Reds' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Shamrocks are ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bellaire's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Weir, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Weir won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, slipping by Bellaire 47-46. Does Weir have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bellaire turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
