Recap: Fivay Falcons vs. Wesley Chapel Wildcats
The Fivay Falcons and the Wesley Chapel Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Fivay Falcons had to settle for second. Their tough 72-46 defeat to the Wildcats might stick with them for a while. Fivay was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-20.
Fivay's loss came despite strong showings from Antwan Brown and Jamarian Miller. Brown scored 17 points, while Miller scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Odell Brown, who scored three points along with seven rebounds.
Wesley Chapel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sian Morris out in front who scored 18 points along with two steals. Morris is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hicks, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
Fivay's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Wesley Chapel, their win bumped their record up to 21-5.
Fivay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wesley Chapel, they will take on Zephyrhills at TBD on Saturday. Zephyrhills is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
