Wilkinson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Amite County Trojans. One positive for the Wildcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Wilkinson County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden ?Duk? Dunbar, who posted nine points along with six blocks and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Germarkus Patterson, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points.

Even though they lost, Wilkinson County was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wilkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Amite County, they moved to 4-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Wilkinson County will face off against West Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amite County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Loyd Star at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
